What Your Research Assistant Requires of You
Provide Documentation
Your Research Assistant will want to read about your research project. Please be prepared to provide summaries, outlines, or whole chapters of your research proposal, introduction, literature review, and methods to the extent they are available. If you would like to share published literature with Your Research Assistant, you will be asked to mail a copy.
Have Basic Computer Software
Your Research Assistant uses Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) to record and analyze your data, but you do not need to own or use SPSS. If you have access to some sort of spreadsheet software—such as Excel or Lotus—this is sufficient.
Your Research Assistant will create all output as printable documents for you. Ability to open and print documents using Adobe Acrobat Reader is required. This software can be downloaded for free here. Other options are available upon request.
Communicating with Your Research Assistant
We care about your project as if it is our own. We ask that you do your part to insure the best possible outcome of all your hard work. E-mail is the primary form of communication for Your Research Assistant simply because it enables full and clear understanding. We hope you will take the time to write out carefully all questions, comments, concerns, and complaints!
